• This is a solid hard drive. But if you're looking for something with its own power supply, this is not for you. Sorry.

• The drive I bought doesn't come with it's own power source, it plugs straight into a USB port on my PS4. It should work to handle your recordings, but you might want to contact Seagate directly to find out if it will work for your exact needs.
