I ran this out of the box directly connected to the USM on a Mac Mini (late2012, OSX 10) without any issues. I also ran it on a network connected to the expansion port on an old WD Wordbook NAS. I have a combination of Apple and Windows machines on my network and have had no issues. My typical config is with the drive (have this Seagate and a Toshiba) connected to the USB ports on my Linksys WAP. Again no issues reading and writing across the network from with Apple or Windows machines.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It says it works with Mac with out having to reformat going from Mac to of, think you are fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I am using Yosemite, and it works fine, I formatted it using Mac Journaled and connected it to my Airport Extreme, so now the entire hard drive is shared to all my laptops and media players.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this will work for Mac and the necessary software is included.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a blank drive formatted NTFS for Windows. It -will- work with Mac computers but you'll need to reformat it for compatibility and optimum performance (you -may- need drivers as well but they'll be easy to find if you need them).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For default uses with the Mac OS it can only be read by the Mac without reformatting it. Yes, it can be used by Yosemite, and Yes, you will have to format it. Seagate makes a Mac version of this drive, but it isn't worth paying more to avoid having to reformat the drive. It's a steep convenience fee.
