I have been backing up my photos on my home drive inside my tower PC and on DVD Disks for years. An additional external drive gives me the ability to not only have backups but now if there should be a fire or other home emergency I can quickly carry all home records & photos out easily by just picking up one little box. I feel like I now have the additional insurance that I need.

I used this drive along with an Xbox One S 500g. When I connected it to the Xbox, I was prompted to format and name the drive, nothing else. I've never used an ext. drive with a console, I highly recommend it to anyone who has too many games and not enough space. My favorite thing about this drive besides the space is the interface with consoles. You can set it as your default storage transfer all your games and apps over from the internal memory to the drive quickly, and once it is your main storage device you can access everything on the drive from the "My games and apps" tab on your dashboard seamlessly. I got this drive for $119.99 on sale and it was worth every penny.

If you are buying an external hard drive , seagate is the best to buy . I bought this 5tb for my box one. But I have one for each of my systems . PS3, ps4,wii u , Xbox 360, Xbox one.

Really like it it's not too big physically but it's huge storage wise!it was was easy to set up too!

I needed a back-up drive for Carbonite Mirror Images. I was a bit concerned about other reviews regarding reliability. I've had the Seagate Backup Plus 5TB for a little over a month and have no complaints. It's quiet, fast and it has H-U-G-E storage space for my mirror images. Carbonite Mirror Image is accessing the drive constantly, so the drive gets a real workout.

This is a great HDD for the price. I saw it at another store for $139.99 and Best Buy was selling it for $149.99. They matched the price. The Harddrive is good. I can back up files from my computer.

Great storage with good price compared to other hard drives in the market . However it does not work only with the usb cable connection with computer, it also needs to power adapter when using.

was able to install in minutes to my Xbox One to extend my hard drive from 1 terybyte to 6 ...now more games available to download...will also buy one again black Friday to set it up for wireless cloud onto my router at home....

Seagate - Backup Plus Desktop 5TB is a great drive for backing up files or offloading large data from my laptop to regain disk space. External USB 3.0/2.0 connections make it fast and simple to transfer information. Simple plug and use setup. Price was great and size is awesome for the money.

Easy to use and format. Simple and compact. Works great with Xbox one and is very quiet. 5 TB to store games and dlc. Would highly recommend.

I configured my current PC on HP, and I have a 3TB hard drive with a secondary hard drive of 2TB. I can't believe it, but that is not enough due to my massive CD library. So, I needed even more storage. I bought this, and it is fantastic. Not to mention, it is just a plug and play. Now, what could be better than that? I own multiple Seagate products, and I am not sorry that I do. They always perform as promised, and are always much better than the competition. And, this one does not disappoint.

I have been using this external hard drive every day and I just love how easy it is to save documents and photoes on it. I don't wan't to clutter my laptop hard drive so this was a great deal, I got it on sale and the price was great and I think I got a great value for my money. I would buy this product again for sure.

Excellent back up product that holds a ridiculous amount of data...and for a great price, you can't go wrong. Very easy to back up photos and videos. The Seagate drive is a part of my growing collection of hard drives -- for daily use and backups. Works fast on USB 3.0 for file transfers but as backward compatible with USB 2.0 as well. is very quiet and not hot at all not even warm to the touch.

This drive sports a large capacity, and is semi-portable for those who travel a lot. The unit can connect via USB 3, but is backward compatible to USB 2. File transfers move quickly (I had a sustained 38MB/s write) during my loading it out. It does an auto-spindown after ~5-mins of non-use, but spin right back up if you try to access it. I have not had any issues with this unit so far. It has an external, 12v power-supply, which powers the unit, which is why I call it "semi-portable". It comes with everything you need in the box, drive, USB cable, and p/s. Just add data!

Purchased this external hard drive to backup all my xbox one games. It's a great product, very thin device, doesn't take up much room. Easy to set up, gets the job done, tons of storage! Happy with my purchase!
