I bought this for extra storage on my xbox one. I had zero trouble getting it connected and now my percentage of storage has went from 99.5 percent to 4 percent. This was very easy to set up and I highly recommend it for the price.

Shopped on line and this was the best deal with the most storage! Best part was the easy setup. You just plug it in and start dragging and dropping. Thanks Seagate and Best Buy!!!

Hard drive space that is, and boy do I have it now. I'm no techie, I don't know how it works or why or for how long it works, but this drive has finally allowed me to back up my entire computer and then some! Easy to use right out of the box. Doesn't make any sound and does not get hot, from my experience.

Seagate drives are dependable, that's why I own more than a dozen of them for my videography business. That said, never entrust your vital data backups to any single drive regardless of make or model. All of them fail eventually, on their own. I personally back up my data to three different external drives at all times when I'm working on critical projects. Over the years I have had failures on Seagate drives --- it's just the nature of external hard drives. Make sure to keep your receipts, too as these drives usually come with a 2 year warranty and if they should fail, Seagate will replace them for free...if you have the receipt.

I bought this to add to my X Box. It was compatible and the X Box recognized it with no problem. Now I have plenty of storage for my games! Love it!

This performs well, not much noise or heat generated, transfer speed is as expected, in the 100 to 120 MB/sec range using USB 3. The drive does not power up unless it's plugged into wall socket and into USB port. USB cable provided is sufficiently long. Cheap on a per TB basis.

I was shopping for a 3T hard drive and found this new 5T HD from Seagate. It fits in the same size case as their other drives. Installation is a snap (USB3). The performance lives up to the hype on the box. I render large video files and it is simply amazing how well it performs

I need a lot of data storage capacity. These Seagate 5GB drives are a bargain per GB when you find them on sale at Best Buy, and they are reliable. The most recent one I purchased does not have legs to be put sideways, but other than that I can't think of any deficiencies.

I use this 5tb external hard drive for extra storage on my Xbox One. The usb 3.0 connection transfers data faster than the Xbox One's internal hard drive. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs extra storage space with fast data transfer speeds.

But quite delighted in the fact that I will probably never need to purchase another backup for years to come. Easy to use and to find your stuff on. I was told by a techy you should be gentle with them. No bouncing or throwing them around unkindly. So, heads up!!

The previous external hard drive I had been using crashed and burned after about 10 years of heavy backup usage. I was impressed that I could get 5TB for a reasonable price. The price of memory seems to have really come down. This should keep me in backup storage for quite a while!

Originally bought it to store my photos & vids from my cellphone/laptop but it doesn't save the original dates they were taken. I have a 1 year old daughter so dates were important to me. Only reason why I gave a 4 star. Easy to use on XBOX ONE and is a bunch of help since the games now days takes up so many space even if you have the disk.

I enjoy the external harddrive its compatible with most devices I use and its size allows for convenient storage. The only negative is that you are required to have an external power source to use it. Although most devices with this size of storage usually require the external power source, I would like to see this changed in the future.

I have a desktop computer that I use in my home theater setup mainly for Plex. For those of you unfamiliar it operates as a media player across all devices. It requires Digital unprotected versions of movies to access and then it will convert them to the format required by the device accessing it. I like high quality movies in surround so my digital copies are very large files and I needed a fast large capacity storage device to expand my desktops 2tb capacity. Have a WD live hooked up via Ethernet that just wasn't fast enough so I researched for a USB 3 drive and settled on a Seagate that was a step below this one ( I didn't really need all of the cloud apps just a storage drive) but couldn't find that model which was a little cheaper and bought this one. Easy hook up basically plug and play and with USB 3 plugged directly into the desktop there has been no buffering of movies since

Seagate did a fantastic job on this external drive. Plenty of space to store the baby pictures and simple to install and start using. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing lots of memory space without spending lots of money.

Very cost-effective. No issues installing as an external drive attached to my router for a cheap backup solution including Time Capsule backups and other files. My 3TB drive was getting full so I cloned it to this drive. I did prefer the older model that stood on end vs this one the lays flat, but it didn't pose a problem.

I use this drive for backing up all my documents, pictures and movies that I have. It is great. Super-fast and really quite. There is more than enough room on this drive for everyone to have piece. Great drive. I love Seagate hard drives.

The device is small in size compared to my prehistoric one. It works fast and I was able to transfer data from 3 different computers in less than 2 hours. Best part was the price since I purchased it on Black Friday. User friendly as well.

Solid purchase for archiving large photo and video files. Nice advantage in that its compatible with both Mac and PC without reformatting. Powered drive so needs to be plugged in to a power source other than USB. So far no gripes.

I needed more storage and found what I wanted at Best Buy , I was assisted by an assistant who went to the stock room and found the drive. The price was excellent and Seagate drives are the best I have others and I have had no problems.
