Got this on sale for $115. Works great. Quiet. I would definitely buy this again if I run out of storage. Keep in mind this is a desktop unit and not a slim portable one.

If you would've told me 4 years ago that you could get a 5TB drive for under 200.00, I would've said you were mad. Seagate has been the MOST dependable drive that I have bought and will continue to invest in their great product.

This was a second purchase for an external hard drive for my iMac. I took the western digital back because I never could get it to reformat. The seagate was easy to do. I am using this drive to move most of my imovies and events to free up some space on my hard drive. Just starting the process but so far so good

This was my first external device to use with my laptop and I am happy with ease of use, small size to store, good storage capacity and feel more secure when I can backup my old laptop information.

It's quiet, compatible, easy to use, 3.0 compatible therefore quick transfer speeds, and provides a large amount of space.

It is not hard to use this. Seagate has always been a good brand for backup storage. I took out one star since sometimes Seagate's support team responds longer than expected and when you have an issue or a problem you'd want to solve it as fast as you could. Aside from that, overall this is a great buy.

With today's digital world, we needed somewhere to store our photos. The Seagate Plus provides the best possible option, especially with a Mac. No worry now about having a back-up of your valuable memories.

I bought this HDD for my PS4 so I would not have to keep deciding which games to delete to make room for more. The drive works great and was easy to set up and get started. I now have every game I have purchased from PSN along with the ones I have on disk with all the updates installed and I still have not used 1/4 of the drive yet. Very good purchase for the price.

i got this for my xbox one cuz i was out of space and it is the most amazing thing ever! xbox set it up fast and easy and has so much space i feel like ill never run out now. i might buy another one for my pc

So I've been using this with my xbox one and I couldn't be any happier with this external hd. It's fast, quiet, and has a ton of storage for a billion games.

Cool cost effective soulution for a whopping 5tb of storage for my video clips and digital hording. Really easy to use but no frills...just basic in n out storage for whatever you need it for. I like it n hope it last a while without kicking the bucket. Id buy it again in a heartbeat.

We got this to save all of our family pictures on. It was really easy to install and use. There is tons on room. We have all our digital pics on it plus we are scanning our old pics to save on it too.

Nowdays there can never be enough hard drive space to satisfy our digital photos and videos. Happy to come across these Seagate drives, they are compact enough and simple to not stand out. Got them on sale for a good price and they seem to keep up with the basic back up storage needs.

First off I have to say I was a little apprehensive buying a seagate product after having some problems with previous hard drives, but they seem to have solved the problems this time around. The unit is not flashy and if you were not looking you might not even notice it was there. The sleek design and flat black color blend in with any entertainment center. It has no discernible noise and runs well with no heat issues so far. It takes a little know how to format the drive for a Mac but if you have a working knowledge of your computer it shouldn't be a problem. For the price this is a solid value ... 5 TB's is more than enough to store your data and media. All in all this is a "best buy" for the money.

It works. No surprises. The USB 3.was fast as expected. The software was easy to set up but not really needed in my case. I like the 5 TB size. I would recommend this to a friend without hesitation.

I have to caveat this review by saying that I have generally found Seagate drives to be industry worst. This was very true until about a couple years ago. I have since purchased four external drives that have worked flawlessly (knock on wood) - ownership time has ranged from 2 years to a year ago. So I write this review with that explanation that I am no fanboi of Seagate. This product has worked very well and does everything I need. I don't need to use the backup software and have not used it. I use it to manually pull files to backup and am using part of this to back up a smaller external drive that is the 2 year old one as a preventative move. I purchased this at $139 and it is a bargain. I highly recommend this. I have read that there was an issue with heat on these - I have not had that problem - I also made sure the unit sets on a metal wire shelf with lots of ventilation - other Seagates are sitting on metal cooling racks that can be purchased cheaply at a discount store.

It's small and efficient, easy to move around and compatible with all my devices. Great price too.

I can't express how important it is to always be prepared with extra back up space on hard drives , I love these drives with my i mac , never a problem always a solution .

I purchased this as an external drive for my backups on my Mac- worked great, lots of storage for my data so that I can ensure my data is safe. Would recommend this product. Great price for 5TB.

This external drive does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's easy to set up and use. It's quick and has a lot of space. I use it as my back up drive and it is perfect for the job.
