WORKS ON XP WINDOWS OLD SYSTEM? null

works as advertised only for MAC OS 10.9 or greater. With my OS 10.6.8 I am able to use it to store data after reformatting, but the software that enables MAC-windows sharing doesn't work.

Yes. New USB devices work on old USB ports, they just run slow.
