“The internal hard drive fits my External Hard Drive Lay-Flat Docking Station and I hear a short processing sound when I turn the docking station on and connect it to my laptops however it is not being read by my MacBook Pro or Microsoft surface pro. Help!”

Might have to go into a Disk Management section to assign the drive to get it recognized if it's a first format. Mine were and it took a bit to get them both recognized sine the PC couldn't find them with File Explorer.
