Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends on how you intend to use it... As an External Drive, YES, but I believe it can ONLY be used as a backup drive. It cannot be used to increase the storage size of the PS4, or to install and run games off of. And, it CAN also be used as a replacement for the PS4's Internal Hard Drive. This drive would have to be removed from the container it comes in, which will of course void the warranty, and would replace the factory PS4 drive. It basically bolts right in. There are several online videos that cover this topic rather well. However, keep in mind, in order to do the internal swap, you would need to have a separate 500GB external USB drive to backup your PS4 onto (saves a ton of time from re-downloading all the add-on content & updates), as well as a (1MB minimum) USB jump drive/stick to boot up/load the PS4 operating system in Safe Mode. Again, there are great instructional videos online for this. I have done the internal swap with this actual drive and it has worked well for over a year now. I actually bought another one to do the same swap in my son's PS4. Hope this helps. Happy gaming!
