If you're referring to loading the digital version of a game (backup) and/or using this as extra space, yes, it will work on the PS5, but it will be limited to Ps4 games (PS5 games do not work on additional storage, yet). If you want to copy Playstation games from a disc onto this drive, then play them... Unlikely. There may be a way to do it, but I'd think you may be breaking the Terms of Use Agreement.
