You can transfer PS5 games to it, but you can't play PS5 games from it. If you would want to play the PS5 game again you would have to transfer it back to the PS5 harddrive. You can play PS4 games from the harddrive. When you hook it up to the PS5 for the first time it tells you all of this information. I bought a internal drive awhile back on sale from Best Buy that allowed you to play PS5 games on it. Just do a search online for best internal harddrives for PS5 games. Its really easy to add the internal harddrive and not void your warranty.
