“If I download a game, do I have to play with other players or can I just play by myself and how do I download games? I’m kind of new to this stuff. Thanks anyone”

This is just a storage unit for games to be saved on. Has nothing to do with multiplayer. You just plug it into the front of the ps 4 and go to settings and down to USB device. It will format Automatically for you. If it gets disconnected it will repair it too.
