I have been using smart bulbs in a covered light outside of my garage for about a year or so. It is protected from the weather and I have not had any issues. The only issue I was concerned about was my wifi reaching out to the garage, which it did.

That's a good question. I would call the manufacturer. I wonder if it would work with extreme exposure to cold, heat, and rain. I would think it would not work the same since it does not say for outdoor usage.

The instructions say not to install this bulb outside, due to the humidity. Even if it's in protected area, I suspect the humidity may cause you issues.

I would say yes. It is a state led light. If you have extreme temps like below 0 then no. They have normal limitations that LED's have.
