These work great I have 2 hearing aids , I can adjust each side separately of headphones. My wife can have volume on tv where ever she wants. Sound quality really great makes words easier to understand. Solved our tv problems , tv can be muted and doesn't affect my volume.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1st, these do have a balance feature, so you can increase volume on one side over the other. 2nd, if you want to listen to TV via headset while your wife is also listening to TV normally, you'll probably need to run your sources (cable, dvd player, etc) through an AV Receiver (like the Yamaha RX-V679 or many others) that has a second zone. You attach the headset to zone 2 and the normal speakers to zone 1. This allows independent volume control. 3rd, most systems don't have independent equalizers any more. You could add one to your second zone (i.e. go from zone 2 to equalizer to headset). Recommend you talk to the techs at Best Buy.

My in-laws and me have the same tv but I got a sound bar and it makes a world of difference. You can actually hear what you're watching clearly without blasting the volume up and everyone else out of the room. Just look at other reviews on some sounds bars and get a decent one and that will help a ton.
