Hey Rocky, that is a great question and we appreciate you doing your due diligence. We ask that you allow the mattress to breathe for the first day in a well-ventilated room before putting any bedding on it. You are cleared to sleep on it that first night, but keep in mind the mattress will gradually finish expanding over the course of the next few days. If you noticed the mattress hasn't fully opened up after a week or so, please let us know and our Customer Service Team can guide you from there.
