• Yes I use it for my luxury vinyl and carpet. Pucks up everything.

• Yes it does steer swivel / lift away too meaning leaves bottom portion and just carry container along with hose / no brush in this model only straight and small brush type end I use in carpet and hardwood floors even [concrete not suggested]
