• No, they smell like Old Spice from 30 years ago. It's disgusting, even if you aren't sensitive to fragrances. If you are sensitive, you have to throw out the dial AND the cartridge since they come assembled together in a pouch. Then you have to buy a new dial (without the scent cartridge) from Shark's website because you will never get the stench off the dial. Or call Shark and just ask them to send you another one, I find it disgusting they did that and packaged them together.

• I'm so glad you asked this question. I came here to ask the same thing. I will not be buying this vacuum. I'm afraid the cartridges will have stunk up everything in the box. Frustrating since this looked like a good vacuum otherwise.
