No. It has to be charge with a charger which comes with it. Very easy. Like charging a phone.

Its kind of like charging a phone. It has a cord and a port at the top of the vacuum. Plug the cord to the port and let it charge then disconnect it. It’s ready to use.

Yes, I just make sure not to leave it plugged in after fully charged
