Yes, I have been thoroughly impressed with what it picks up. I have a Sears 12 amp canister vacuum and this seems to perform on par with it.

I find it very satisfactory. But my definition of satisfactory may be different than yours. What I can tell you is that it will suction up almost anything in front of it, and the vacuum floor rollers feel like they are pulling you along for the ride!

The suction power of this unit is more than adequate and the built in brush roller allows the vacuum to be very effective in picking up debris on carpets.

When I use this vacuum, you can advisably see that the dirt is collecting in the cup. It is great as are all Shark vacuums.
