Yes. This model has a soft roller as the front the roller with a traditional nontraditional ( second traditional type roller does not have bristles it works like a wave scooper for debris) style roller behind. The second roller will not damage any floor while the first roller acts as a duster for hardwood plus the suction pulls in the dust and debris. This is Dyson Quality vacuum at a reasonable price. Shark vacuums are rated second to Dyson,

My floors are tile and laminate, and carpet in the bedrooms. It works well on all of those. It can adjust for different levels of carpet.
