• There are different settings that allow for the brushes to all spin or to adjust down to no spinning besides the small roller in the very front. It depends on your settings on the carpet type or bare floor.

• No it is not self propelled. At times it feels like it is when going forward. When pulling backwards you can tell that it is not self propelled. Vacuum works great as of now. Easy to use and works great on carpet and hard floors. Always sucks up large amounts of dirt and dust.
