How long does the hose extend? null

So this is my one disappointment. The hose is very short, I can’t reach my ceiling fans, but even so if you do stretch it a little, as soon as it grabs onto the wall or something else, the suction will compress hose back and if you’re not careful knock the vacuum over... yes that happened to me... so i had found an extension hose that I was using with my old now broken canister vacuum that does work with this and it doesn’t compress...

We would like to let you know that the hose on this unit is 5.5 feet.
