If it's not a whole huge pile it should work but if there is a lot the little canister might not hold it, the canister on the hand held was smaller then I'd like

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can empty it without putting it on the base. Putting it on the base takes about 10 full seconds. But it's easier to just empty it without the base. It's just one button and it pops open and dumps. Good it I've the trash can and push a button.
