“I've seen it asked previously, what is the correct answer to if this unit does or does not support HDR? I see it answered as a NO multiple times, but the SHARP website states that it does have HDR as does the packaging for the unit IN STORES..”

It supports HDR10 but not Dolby Vision. There are options in the menu for displaying notification of when HDR material is playing and HDR picture options appear when playing back HDR content from YouTube for example. The Sharp CSR that continues to post here stating that the unit doesn't support HDR is wrong, it does but like I said only the HDR10 version not DV.
