I know exactly what you mean, and have had other humidifiers that made the room feel cooler. This one does not do that, which is why I like it. In my experience, this is the best humidifier / air purifier that I've ever owned, and is well worth the money. And, it is low-profile and quiet enough that it could be easily located in any room in the house. Just make sure to buy a model that suits the size room where you plan to use it. For example, the one I own is rated to handle up to about 250 square feet.
