This device will operate no mater what ethnic demographic you are in I have yet to see a devise not work simply because it's around Asians.... Depending on your global location you may need to get a travel adapter for the charger i feel it important to mention as long as the battery is charged or it is properly plugged in it will work no matter what ethnicity you are surrounded by
