The HDhomerun connect duo records 2 channels the HDhomerun connect quatro will record 4 channels simultaneously.

This product only has two tuners so it can only tune two channels at the same time. They do make a four tuner version. You would likely have to subscribe to another service to perform the recording.

The Duo has 2 tv tuners, so you can only record (or view) 2 channels at a time. The Connect Quatro has 4 tuners, so you could use that one (if you had a dvr device set up.
