• The Entry Sensor works by having the main sensor piece detect a magnet. So it works for any door or window that opens all the way. However, it will only trigger when that door or window is actually opened. You might want to add a Motion Sensor or a Glassbreak Sensor as an added layer of security.

• No the sensor only works for doors or single hung windows in double hung windows the sensor can only be installed on the lower sash , to monitor a whole room you will need the infrared sensor that mounts on a corner and will alert you if some one enter the room .
