It should, depending on what router you have and how far away you put it from the base station. My system works well with a Google Nest Router. My sensors are about thirty to 50 feet from the base station.

The Entry Sensor is able to communicate with the Base Station through walls, and even when installed on doors in other buildings. However, it is not intended for outdoor use.
