No, but all you get without paying for monitoring is real time viewing without the ability to capture or save video. Please read my review carefully, as I point out that you need the $25 / Month monitoring plan to capture continuous video from the app. This fact is not advertised clearly.

you dont have to pay for a monthly subscription however keep in mind the free plan is very basic and i mean very basic. The free plan only allows for you to disarm and arm the system and allows the siren to go off if the alarm is triggered however they will not call the police and they will not allow for your video footage to be recorded. So it basically forces you in to a monthly plan but keep in mind there is no contract so you can cancel at any time.

If you want monitoring and police/fire responders, then yes. If you only want to monitor the system yourself, then you don’t need a subscription.

If you want to be notified of movement or sensor activation, Yes.

No, you can monitor your own system. They have two monitoring plans which I believe are $15 or $25 depending on what works for you.

No you can watch on your device and wifi

If you want to you can, but it is not required.
