If your doorknobs are installed correctly, the screws to remove the doorknob are on the inside and not accessible from the outside. That said, if it is possible to do this on a given door, then this lock does nothing to circumvent that. This would be a problem with any deadbolt that is not dual-cylinder.

So there is nothing for the thief to unscrew. of course you could just take a hammer and punch out the doorknob even if there is a lock on it. Locks only stop casual thieves. if a professional wants in your house they are coming in. Of more concern is if you have windows or glass around the door then you can just break that reach in and unlock it.
