Q: QuestionI have a 2010 Honda Accord EX-L that I want to replace the factory subwoofer in. Is it possible to replace the factory sub with an aftermarket one? Also, does it require an amp? Can I still control the sub with the original head unit?

• A:Answer They can install it but my advice is to consult the store mobile tech for pricing and appointments. Never trust those online tech advisors, for they don't know anything about audio/speaker installations. I was quoted the wrong price and time for installation. I can't even get my money back. I ended up installing my powered subwoofer myself and it wasn't that hard at all. Saved me $130.

• A:Answer Be advised. If these online tech advisors tells you it'll cost $19.95 and 15 minutes, it is good for mounting a subwoofer speaker only, nothing else. You may have to purchase an amp and it may cost you at least $129.95 or more and at least two to three hours to install them. Better to visit their mobile installation directly and ask for their advice. Stay away from going online for pricing and advice.
