it doesn't, but if your device supports it it'll show the status on screen. 
for my android phone it shows the connected icon and the battery status for the headphones next to that.

No. Red light on for charging, red light off for not charging.

You will hear "charge device" in the headphones when they're getting low; I don't know how much time you have left when it notifies you though. The LED on the side will blink red when it's low, but you can't see that if you're wearing them.

Yes it has a red light indicator when the charging usb cord is plugged in and turns off when fully charged

I have not charged it since I bought it but when using it, the battery status is shown in my iphone.

Does have an led status on it but I have yet to use it enough to drain it....I use it everyday for at least an hour has been over 3 weeks no charging
