Both of the products (the receiver and the headphones) are Bluetooth receivers not transmitters. So no they won't connect to one another! However you can get wireless headphone made for tvs and receivers that's have a transmitter box that comes with them that should allow the wireless connection.

Please try again later.I never tried with the A/V Receiver with Bluetooth but my recommendation is to try first put the heatset in pairing mode (from OFF position hold the power button for 5 sec then you can heard the confirmation that the heatset is in pairing mode) then set your A/V Receiver in Pairing mode. Probably you already try that, if doesn't work check if your Sony A/V Receiver is capable of transmit Bluetooth. In the negative case, you need to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter to pair your Skullcandy headset. Good luck!
