Hey, to me it sounds like you have a pair that has an issue. I have bought three of these for my boys, one pair each in a separate color. They have them in all day with no issues. I asked my son that has the same color pair, and he said that it lasts for hours throughout the day. Quick re-charge in the afternoon, but no issues with them. Hope this helps!
