“when I first turned them on & went to pair them I noticed the control pad witch is where the battery is was starting to warm up. The earbud on that side was crackling & making high pitched scratching sound. It got so hot it shut off. Why is this happen?”

My guess is there is something defective with the pair. I have not experienced anything like that at all.
