• The case has a built in battery that will charge the earbuds. It functions just like a portable cellphone charger.

• The case does have it's own rechargeable battery/is a battery. It will recharge the earbuds as long as it's charged. Once the charge is depleted, you just plug it in and charge it back up so it can keep the earbuds charged while you're on the go.
