Good Audio, Intuitive Controls & Feature Packed
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Ease of use, Sound qualityCons mentioned:Buttons, DesignI was excited to select these Skullcandy Push Truly Wireless Earbuds in exchange for the earbuds and an honest review. Since I live in North Florida I am able to enjoy the great outdoors year 'round. So, my earbuds must be able to perform in my humid climate. One of the many features of these earbuds is their IPX4 rating, which is both sweat and water resistant. For me an absolute must. For the past three weeks I have used these earbuds everyday, especially while doing my outdoor yard chores. I live on a six-acre, wooded parcel and there is always something that needs my attention, and I love listening to music while I work. So, I am going to begin my review with what I have learned using these earbuds everyday: ***What I love about using these Skullcandy earbuds?*** AUDIO - The audio quality is always the main reason why we purchase any set of earbuds. For the first-time version of Truly Wireless earbuds, Skullcandy has done a credible job. The sound quality is surprising for the value of these earbuds. The low and mid-ranges are emphasized leaving treble and clear voice in the background, but not drowned out. IF you get these buds nestled correctly in your ears, the rich bass at the low ranges is exciting, especially for walks, runs, and physical workouts. However, there is no EQ, or pre-set adjustments, nor any high-end codecs to deliver high resolution, audio quality over Bluetooth. In summary you get bang-up audio quality, overall, in comparison to other earbuds at this price point, IMHO. I have three other, more expensive earbuds, and Skullcandy is equal in features and competitive in audio quality. WooHoo! INTUITIVE CONTROLS – There is a button (about the size of a dime) on each bud towards the bottom of each earbud. The button on each earbud (Left or Right) features ON/OFF controls, Volume, Pairing to Smart Phones, Making and Receiving Phone Calls, Changing Tracks, and my favorite, Activate Voice Assistant, particular to either 'L' or 'R' earbud, or both. See User Manual for specifics. The auto-ON and auto-OFF features by placing the earbuds back in their case, or taking them out is super cool. There is an easy-learning-curve to these control buttons, but, you have to use these buds for several days. I felt comfortable of mastering these controls after four days of constant use. In addition to these simple controls you get 'Voice-Announcements' like when you are connected to BT, Earbuds 'ON', or 'OFF', etc. PAIRING TO MY DEVICES – What I found to be really unique is that these Skullcandy buds not only easily pair to my mobile phones, but, PC, Tablet, Laptop, I-Pad, MP3 Player, Switch, PS4, etc. They pair to any of your devices unlike many other wireless, BT earbuds. They don’t support multi-device pairing and can only connect to one Bluetooth source at a time. They have no registry to remember all of your other devices. Also, keep in mind that there is a latency (lag time delay), which makes these buds not very good for use in any kind of gaming. They use a 4.2 BT Interface, which is as simple as it gets. DESIGN & FIT – The overall design with lightweight plastic body and gel 'Fit' ear hook had fooled me. At first glance these buds look bulky and heavy – far from the truth. Skullcandy provides three pair of gel ear cup inserts for varied fit. Surely, one pair will fit you comfortably, so you can enjoy the robust sound quality of these earbuds. TIP – Install each earbud as far as it will go comfortably in your ear canal for more impressive sound and more secure fit. I was impressed after wearing these buds outside for over four hours each day, and, sweating because of the heat and humidity, they have NOT stressed my ears and remained comfortable to wear. YooHoo! SMART PHONE CALLS – It is super easy to answer and end a phone call. Just touch either 'R' or 'L' button once to answer a call, or end a call. My favorite phone use is through the Voice Assistant feature (SIRI for me to make calls). You can use whatever Voice Assistant on your Smart Phone is available and is enabled, and, or Alexa. It is easy to activate by simply pressing either the 'L' or 'R' earbud three times. Be aware that phone calls are heard over the 'L' ear bud only and are 'mono'. The mic is also on the Left earbud, and is of decent audio quality and clearly heard by your party. RECHARGEABLE BATTERY – I was able to use my Skullcandy earbuds for over five and a half hours before I had to recharge them by placing the earbuds back in their protective case. Fully charged in their case the buds can give you up to twelve hours of listening time. WoW! It took me approximately two hours to fully charge the earbuds in their case using the furnished and latest, USB 'C' cable. You can also charge the case with your PC, laptop, etc, as long as it has a USB Port. The case has four LED Blue Indicator lights to give you the battery status. You can depress the button just under the LED lights for the battery-charge status at any time. ***What I think needs to improve these Skullcandy earbuds?*** FIT – The gel 'FIT' ear piece is too short for my ears to retain them securely (OK, I have big ears). However, I'm guessing I am not alone in this issue. This makes me wonder just how secure these earbuds would be for gym workouts, and running, or jogging? However, my wife says they fit her ears securely enough for physical workouts and running (She has 'normal' sized ears). Skullcandy, please look into redesigning your FIT gel ear piece for Big-Eared folks like me. High Resolution Codecs – High Resolution codecs deliver CD quality sound over Bluetooth. aptX HD and LDAC along with Apple ALAC would enhance the already good sound to great sound quality. Please look into Skullcandy for your next upgrade into Truly Wireless Earbuds. CONTROL BUTTON – The control button on each earbud is too large in comparison to the size of the earbud body. Consider making the button much smaller. It took me two weeks to figure it out. It was so confusing trying to insert the buds into my ears while NOT touching the buttons – YUK! Since the earbuds were 'ON', while I tried inserting them correctly into my ears I inadvertently touched the Control Button and changed the settings 'to who knows what'. I eventually learned to manually shutoff the earbuds when I took them out of their case 'till they were inserted correctly in my ears. Then, I turned them 'ON' - so much easier. . . . CONCLUSION - The Skullcandy Push Truly Wireless Earbuds are a great value for the quality audio and features of these FUN earbuds. I love them because I can use them and enjoy their sound quality outside in the Florida heat & humidity. They have some 'shortcomings', but not enough for me to give them less than five stars. . . . These earbuds would make a great gift for that 'physically-active' family member or friend. They are inexpensive when you consider the multi-functional features and sound quality.

Decent First Entry
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Sound qualityI have been a fan of Skullcandy headphones for over a decade now. I have owned multiple versions of the Crushers and the Hesh, I even own the Venue right now, so when I heard they were coming with totally wireless earbuds, I was curious and excited. Inside the box comes the Skullcandy Push earbuds, 3 ear tip sizes, charging case and cable (usb type C) as well as the usual paperwork. Design-wise they are a little elongated and extend a little away from the ears when worn. They don’t have a solid feel and they have a primarily plastic like build quality. This though, allows them to feel quite comfortable given that the design is lightweight. I found then breathable when sitting in the ear and I found that the wing tips kept them very stable in each ear and I didn’t find them falling out from general use. Each bud has a single button which can handle playback when listening to music and also to answer and end phone calls. When it comes to portability, I don’t really have any complaints, the case might be more bulky than some would like but it is designed pretty well. It has built in magnets that keep the buds in place, therefore never falling out and the case itself self never opens accidentally. I’ve paired this with both a Note 8 and an iPod Touch and had no issues getting them connected. Once Bluetooth was turned on and each device was in searching mode, the Push comes up and connects immediately after selected. Using them is straightforward and the connection is stable with no shorting or skipping unless far away from the mobile device or having multiple walls between the device and the buds. On the downside the buds cannot be connected to multiple devices at once and hence switching the earbuds between devices is not seamless and effortless. So, how do they sound? Pretty much as I expected from some wireless earbuds. Throughout daily use I found that they have a consistent bass, that’s not too overbearing, well balanced mid-range and decent highs. Vocals are not always the most detailed and crisp but your listening experience isn’t really affected at all. Bass heavy songs and those with decent amount of treble came through very well on these. Music control is pretty standard and straightforward. The buttons on each bud is very responsive and don’t require a deep press for it to register. A single tap on each bud stops/plays a track while double tapping the left bud lowers the volume and double tapping the right bud increases the volume. Holding the buttons for 2-3 seconds skips the track forward when using the right bud’s button, while it is skipped backwards using the left bud’s button. When it comes to the microphone these are pretty average. In quiet areas they perform well but in noisy and loud environments the buds will struggle. I also noted that the call audio only came through the left bud. Overall this is a good entry from Skullcandy. At about half volume, I got about 6.5 hours of listening time and with the case I was only able to get one full charge, before the case needed to be charged again. I would definitely recommend for general use.

Wireless headphones do a decent job
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5Cons mentioned:Buttons, VolumeI should first start off by saying I bought these on sale for half the retail price. They do a decent job for listening to music. I haven't used them for their other capabilities yet, but I understand I can use them for phone calls, as they have a built-in mic. They come with a quick-charging case and a short USB-C cord which provides you with many hours of listening power. Also supplied are 2 pairs of spare ear bud tips of different sizes. I have some difficulty with them, however. They are quite large, and I feel I have to adjust them frequently due to their size. I was expecting them to fit better; at least flush with my ears, but the upper part hangs out somewhat. While I was able to pair them with my Bluetooth phone, the buttons aren't that intuitive, and can be finicky. I have to keep pushing them to get the proper volume, and have problems getting them to pair with one another at times. Sometimes, if I press the button to pair with the other, it shuts them both off, and it can get frustrating. The only workaround I've found so far is to put them both back in the case and start over. I was also expecting better quality audio. It sounded "tinny." I managed to fix it by shoving them further in my ears to achieve the bass and treble I want, but am not sure that's such a good idea if I want to preserve my hearing. If you're not concerned with the aforementioned issues, you might be satisfied with them. I just wouldn't pay $99.99.

Best non-AirPods I've ever owned
Posted .Pros mentioned:Bass, Ease of useThe pros: - they stay stuck in your ear and don't come out - charges in the case which is nice - the bass is really nice - pairing is fast and easy - changing tracks is easy. The left side is for decreasing volume and going back a track, while the right side is for increasing volume and skipping a track. Very intuitive. The cons: - Inside the case, they automatically connect/pair, turn on, and start playing music without me turning them on and this can get quite annoying. It keeps automatically connecting so your best option is to shut off bluetooth but you shouldn't have to do this. Overall, I'd still recommend it.

Perfect for Outside Adventures
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery life, Price, Sound qualityCons mentioned:Design, Use for phone calls---HIGHLIGHTS--- Excellent Sound Quality, Stable Bluetooth Connection, Automatic Turn On/Off, 6 Hour Battery, Water Resistant, Fits Securely, Bluetooth Version 4.2, USB-C Charging ---DESIGN and CONTROLS--- These in the ear headphones are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The ear gels hold them tightly in my ear canal which in turn helps them stay put and sound good. With this type of design, it is critical to make sure that the ear gels are tightly inserted in the ear canal. If you don’t establish a secure fit the sound quality will suffer. The hard case and left and right earbuds are an integrated system. The case doubles as an external battery that charges them while protecting and storing them. To charge them simply insert them into the case and close the lid. To charge the case connect it to a charger with the included USB-C cable. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the case and headphones. The battery last for about 6 hours. If fully charged, the carrying case can provide another 6 hours of charge for a combined 12 hours of charge. Just be aware that after they are drained, you must put them back in the case to charge before they can be used again. After using them for a couple of days I have found the rated battery life to be accurate. They automatically turn on when taken out of the case and automatically turn off when put back in the case. I prefer this design to having to press and hold a button to turn on and off. Once paired they will automatically connect when turned on. The Bluetooth pairing process was very easy. Once paired subsequent connections were fast and proved to be very stable. They are certified as being sweat and water resistant (IPX4). The control buttons that take some practice to learn, but once you get the hang of them they work adequately. However, I prefer to use my phone to control them. The right unit cannot be used without the left one. The left one is the primary and can be used by itself, if you only want to use one, but the right one can’t be used independently. The right unit can only be paired to the left one. ---SOUND QUALITY--- The overall sound quality of these headphones is excellent! The sound is very musical, clear, and full range. They also belt out a surprising amount of hard-hitting bass for such small earbuds! The call quality is typical for Bluetooth compact headphones. When on a call they default to mono sound, which is preferable so there is not an annoying echo. As with all headphones, call quality can be negatively affected by wind noise and other ambient sounds. It uses Bluetooth version 4.2 which offers less compression that the original codec and creates a stable Bluetooth connection. ---BOTTOM LINE--- The Skullcandy Push True Wireless In-Ear Headphones sound great and are perfect for active lifestyles. They are easy to take on the go and sound great for the price. If you are still using the earbuds that came with your cell phone or tablet, then you are in for a treat because the improvement in sound quality will be what I describe as night and day.

Quality4 out of 5Value2 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 510 points to look at for earphones: ----- 1. General Sound Quality is quite decent. You don't buy these if you're an audiophile, so I didn't test complete highs mids and lows. But the sound quality worked well with a slew of genres (chill EDM -> Industrial -> Metal -> Podcasts). 1 point 2. Bass Quality was pretty decent as well. Tested with Spotify's Bass Test/Bass Boosted tracks and the sounds were enjoyable. 1 point. 3. Pairing ease was lacking. It was always hit or miss; once paired to a device or two though, they would generally pair again without having to go through the motions, but if you wanted to pair a new device, good luck. .5 points 4. Button functionality: Blah. It's a hold and go system; so most of the time you won't be doing what you want with them. They're a bit sensitive so you might play/pause on accident. Otherwise remembering the holding patterns is pretty awful—something like 3 seconds for reverse or 5 seconds for forward, or even 7 seconds when off for pairing. .25 points (they're are buttons, so you get points for that) 5. Active listening: You can get an ooookay... amount of time with them. I'd say about 6 hours of active listening in general. Maybe more if you don't move. Otherwise it's not nearly enough. .5 points 6. Charging is awful. It's just not not consistent. You can charge the case, but not the headphones while inside. You can charge the headphones, but they must be in the case. See the issue. You must 1 charge the case, then unplug it, and put the headphones in to charge the headphones. They may accidentally pair to a device while inside though, so watch out for that. They may also not actually be placed properly, so watch for the battery marker on the outside. 0 points. 7. Comfort: They're decent. It's an odd gesture to put them in your ear, but you don't notice them too much once they're in. I'd say you can keep them in for about 2 hours before you feel some discomfort. .5 points. 8. Warranty is lifetime, take that as you will with these products, but they replace it or give you the full amount back—keyword full. 1 point. 9. Quality: They're made primarily of plastic, but they feel sturdy. You can drop them in the case, which gives a satisfying clunk sound. There's a rubber ear piece that doesn't feel like it's going to break or wear easily. 1 point. 10. Buy them on sale, they're not worth the full price. .5 points. 6.25/10 is my score for these

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Very comfortable and great for working out. Only complaint is that the earbud doesn't sit deep enough in my ear to enjoy the bass Skullcandy brands commonly offer. The comfort grip does it's job but adversely creates the gap. There is a noticeable difference when plave my fingers on the buds and slightly push them inward.

Q: QuestionCan I use one earbud at a time?
Asked by Bigbuck91.
- A:Answer The left one is the primary and the right one is the secondary. The primary (left) can be used by itself. The secondary one (right) can only pair to the primary one (left) and can not be used by itself. This is typical for all brands of "True Wireless'' in the ear headphones such as these.

Q: QuestionHow good are these headphones at noise cancelling?
Asked by Sweetwater.
- A:Answer They don’t noise cancel, but it’s also a good idea if you mess with the eartips that get the most secure fit to ensure a proper seal. That way, you’ll get as much sound to stay around and in your ear.
