A: No, exactly the same these are not "Airpod Max 2" as some may try to label it, its essentially a reskin with a different port. Sound quality and build quality is still top tier but in terms of some of the features seen in the newer airpod pros these are not exempt since it is older internal hardware.

A: Yes, and the Apple AirPods Max does a remarkable job at it. I frequent a coffee shop where the noise level can become high. I've used these headphones to talk to people on my phone and I've asked if the person on the other side can hear me. Every time they have told me they easily could hear what I said. With the quality noise cancellation these headphones have I am able to easily hear the person on the other end.

Worth every penny — next-level sound and comfort
I’ve owned several pairs of headphones over the years, but the AirPods Max easily top them all. The sound quality is incredibly rich — clear highs, deep bass, and balanced mids that make everything from classical to hip-hop sound amazing. The noise cancellation is on another level; once you put them on, the world fades away. Satisfied customer
I’ve been using the AirPods Max for a while now and couldn’t be happier. The sound quality is amazing, the noise cancellation works flawlessly, and they feel incredibly comfortable even during long listening sessions. Awesome sound and comfort
These are some of my newest additions to my Apple products. They are awesome for sound or silence. The fit on my head is near perfect. They offer other colors but this color matches my MacBook Air M4 and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The connectivity works seamlessly.
