• They certainly have the experience to do just that. They installed two Ecobee systems at my home. It is working just fine!

• I installed ecobee myself (two different thermostats) and it was not difficult. I had to call their customer service for one and the were super helpful.

• Who is they? Geek squad? Yes they will but it may come at a cost unless there is a promotion going on. Anyway. The power extended is needed on certain setups. It is depended on how your pre exiting wiring is set up from your existing thermostat to your hvac system.
