• I just ordered the Mesa XL and fired it up for the first time last night. I reached out to the company and asked them if you can actually cook on it - with a pan. YES - you can! If you have the XL, you can order the CAMPFIRE cooking ring (they have 2 other sizes - but order the campfire.) It fits right on top - then you can place pans on it. The campfire version was about $25. Enjoy!

• We do not sell a grill grate for the Mesa, but yes, you could purchase one to grill over it.

• You can order the campfire cooking ring and a small stainless steel grill will fit on it. 6.5 inches should work, 7 inches will have a bit of overhang. There are several posts about it on Reddit and Facebook.
