A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend adding any additional speakers to the MAG6.1 system. The included (6) satellite speakers and (1) subwoofer is the maximum number of speakers you should connect to the Sonos amp. Adding more speakers may result in an unacceptable load, which could damage the Sonos amp.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to call our California-based support team at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech Support. We are available Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM PST. We'd love to help you out.

A:AnswerYes, you can wire it this way. The Amp has the ability to power 6 speakers and one sub. The Amp could also send audio to a powered sub if you wanted additional bass in the system. But for wiring the two zones (one 6 speakers with a sub, and one 2 speakers with a sub) you'll have great sound.
A:AnswerThe Mag6.1 is a self contained kit, and is powered by its own Sonos Amp. It sounds like you already have some Sonos equipment, so you know how to group rooms together when playing your system. You could just group the new Amp running the 6.1 with whatever you have powering the existing patio speakers.
A:AnswerI just went through that. I went with two 6.1 systems for the cheaper price and more coverage. I feel the extra sub makes a difference too. However, my understanding is that the 8.1 not only has a larger and more powerful sub, but the satellites are two way with better specs(on the 8.1) instead of one way (on the 6.1). For my use, I decided average listeners in my backyard would never discern the difference and the two 6.1 systems together sound great.
A:AnswerIt can be outdoors but best to keep it inside of a cabinet so it's not exposed to moisture, sunlight or anything else that can be detrimental to it.
A:AnswerI called Sonance as described and they directed me to Sonos...so still no direct answer.
btw - Steve with Sonance was awesome but he just couldn't help me.
A:AnswerHi,
Thank you for your question. The satellite speakers in the MAG6.1 package are not the same speaker as the LS4T satellites. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have additional questions, please call our California-based support team at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech support. We will be happy to help you out.

The included (6) satellite speakers and (1) subwoofer is the maximum number of speakers you should connect to the Sonos amp. Adding more speakers may result in an unacceptable load which could damage the Sonos amp. If you need the additional speakers to cover the area, then I would recommend purchasing the Sonance Garden Series 8.1 system w/ amplifier. The Garden Series system will give you better performance since the satellites feature a 2-way satellite speaker design, and the subwoofer is a 10" sub versus the 8" subwoofer in the MAG6.1 system. Additionally, the amplifier included with the Garden Series package can power a total of (16) SGS satellite speakers and (2) SGS subwoofers giving you more system design flexibility. I hope you found this information helpful. If you have other questions, please call our California-based support team at 949-492-7777 and ask for Tech Support.
