Thank you for your question.  I would recommend a maximum of 2 speakers per channel a total of four speakers (two speakers on the left channel and two speakers on the right channel.) According to Sonance, the Sonos branded speakers can have 3 sets per amp. But they can’t be run independently.

You can probably do more than 4 but you would not want to. 4 is the max for best quality
