“can I connect power cord from sub to back of Yamaha receiver, that way sub turns off when receiver is off? or is it better to have sub connected to wall outlet”

• Better to run the sub directly from the wall outlet, it has its own automatic shut down and power up so a few minutes after no input is detected it goes into standby mode.

• The Geek Squad connected the woofer to a connector box where everything was plugged into. That box was then plugged into the wall outlet.
