“Can this be used to wire 2 passive speakers, a subwoofer and additional set of 4 Sonos One speakers? We are weary of fading in and out wireless connectivity (Google minis, SoundTouch, etc) . Is there a proprietary app or cables required?”

• Not in the same "room". you can wire the passive speakers and the sub, 2 sonos speakers (of the same make) can be connected then for the rear back right/left. If you wanted to do more (as I did) I set up another room and grouped it with the room that has the amp so i have 4 sonos speakers and 2 passive in one room
