• The hdmi port is for sending audio from a tv to the amp using ARC (audio return channe).ibelieve it will also allow you to control volume with your tvs remote. I don’t believe a computers hdmi output would anything for the sonos. All other streaming functions would be controlled by the sonos app which can be installed on a phone, iPad, or computer.
