So if I want atmos and all 4 of my hdmi ports are filled on my tv, i cant use this? For the price, seems pretty absurd that there is no hdmi passthrough null

The Sonos Arc does need to be plugged directly into the eARC or ARC HDMI port on the back of your television.  This allows the Sonos Arc to playback Atmos content.

This sound bar uses audio return channel to take any sound inputted to the TV ( thru your devices) and passes it thru to the sound bar. This allows for a much simpler setup and only requires one cord to to get sound to your speaker. Just plugin your devices to your HDMI input and plug in the Sound bar to your ARC enable port
