The "auto play" feature just switches your Sonos soundbar to your tv's audio when your tv is turned on automatically, say if you had music playing and then turned your tv on. I would start by contacting your tv manufacturer to see if there is a known bug when a soundbar is plugged into HDMI. You can always call us as well for support at 1 800 680 2345. However, I would start with the tv manufacturer as this doesn't sound like a Sonos soundbar issue at first read.
