Hi, and thank you for this question. You would have to use our Sub. The reason is that if there is another device (ie receiver) that is controlling the crossover we don't have a way for our soundbar to tell it what frequencies to send to the Subwoofer. Even if we did, we can't be sure that the receiver would be doing it at the right time or capable of even sending that frequency appropriately. We keep our ecosystem pretty tight to ensure the best experience possible!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there. You would need to buy an entirely new subwoofer made by Sonos to use with this sound bar and you would not use your receiver at all. The sound bar basically becomes your receiver. You would plug the sound bar from the single EARC port directly into your televisions EARC port. If you don’t have a television with one of those you can use a standard ARC port, however the audio will be compressed because it’s not capable of passing through that much bandwidth on a normal ARC. EARC only.
