QuestionIs it possible to use just a set of these (or two sets) and make these your only speakers in your room for your TV, and have it be good balance or worth doing?

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question! Absolutely. Amp has an HDMI ARC to that it can plug into your tv. You can even bond our Sub with your Amp plugged into your front channel speakers. You can add a second one to power your surround sounds as well.

Questionhi, i have a butch of sonos speakers. i think there great, i have a butch of 5plays threw out my house , if buy the 6.5 pair and a amp. which is louder ? next question is , sonos is known for wireless. so do i have to run the 6.5 with speaker wire?

- Answer Hi, and thank you for reaching out with your question. A pair of In ceilings are maybe a touch louder than a single Play5. The benefit here is the ability to put them in your ceiling and not be seen, as well as more detailed stereo separation. Yes, you would have to run speaker wire to the speakers. The music is wireless from your source to the Amp, but you still need the speaker wire to plug into the Amp for power and receive the audio signal.

QuestionDoes Sonance or Sonos make enclosures (back boxes) for these speakers? I know Sonance makes a 6” back box that I’ve used previously and it works great. Thanks!

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. There's not a backbox specifically made by ourselves or Sonance for these speakers. However, they are a common size/shape of other speakers from Sonance.

QuestionI'm told these speakers will not work as rear speakers in a home theater experience while watching movies. I currently have the Arc plus the sub and was hoping to add the amp + ceiling speakers ? Instead, play ones are recommended. Is this true?

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. This is not true. With the Sonos Amp you can use any speakers you'd like as surrounds. So yes, you can use these as surrounds with Amp. If you're using the Amp wirelessly with Arc as surrounds then we recommend keeping the amp within 20-30ft of the Arc. This is because of the range limitations of 5ghz frequency on your network. If you can't keep it within 20-30ft for wireless and need to hardwire. Don't just hardwire the Amp into your network. Hardwire the Amp, Arc, and Sub. - Answer Hi, thank you for your question. You can connect two pairs of these speakers (wired in parallel) to an Amp to be used as rears. Do know that this will not give you a discrete 7 channel experience. You will be doubling your rear channel signals.

- Answer These are passive speakers that need to be hard wired to a Sonos Amp in order to pair them with a Playbar! These speakers are designed to be used with Amp which means they are able to utilize Trueplay tuning technology and sound great with Playbar!

- Answer Great question! These speakers are designed to be used with the Sonos Amp and while wired in parallel 3 pairs can be connected to the Amp!

- Answer These speakers must be connected to an amplifier with speaker wire and are designed to work specifically with the Sonos Amp! When connected to the Sonos Amp these speakers can be tuned with Trueplay technology and have specific settings to make them sound incredible!

- Answer Hello, thank you so much for your question. You can wire 3 pairs of Sonos Architectural In-Ceiling Speakers to one Sonos Amp in parallel. Once that is connected, you will utilize the Speaker Detection feature in the Sonos app to detect the speakers to optimize for this set up. Do know that this set-up is specific for the Sonos Architectual product line-up.
