“I'm told these speakers will not work as rear speakers in a home theater experience while watching movies. I currently have the Arc plus the sub and was hoping to add the amp + ceiling speakers ? Instead, play ones are recommended. Is this true?”

Hi, and thank you for your question. This is not true. With the Sonos Amp you can use any speakers you'd like as surrounds. So yes, you can use these as surrounds with Amp. If you're using the Amp wirelessly with Arc as surrounds then we recommend keeping the amp within 20-30ft of the Arc. This is because of the range limitations of 5ghz frequency on your network. If you can't keep it within 20-30ft for wireless and need to hardwire. Don't just hardwire the Amp into your network. Hardwire the Amp, Arc, and Sub.
